What we do: We provide wellness classes and life-enhancing workshops to improve the health and wellness of your staff.
Your role: Participate in award-winning UCSC wellness programs, and encourage your staff to participate. Support flex-time for physical activity, and encourage managers and supervisors within your department to follow your lead.
How to get started:

2. Attend a free wellness class.
3. Subscribe to the UCSC Wellness Newsletter.
4. Arrange a 15-minute wellness break at your next staff meeting.

What we do: We train supervisors to maintain a safe working environment, including actions they can take immediately to improve campus safety, prevent injuries, and facilitate recovery of injured employees.
Your role: Model safety leadership. Take the Building a Safety Culture training yourself, and require all personnel in your department who manage or supervise others to take the class.
How to get started:

2. Take the Building a Safety Culture training. Enroll at events-manager.ucsc.edu
3. Have your supervisors enroll at events.manager.ucsc.edu OR arrange a customized class for your department.

What we do: We train employees you’ve selected to become Departmental Ergonomic Assessors (DEAs) who can perform ergonomic evaluations for your staff. We will provide up to $1,000 per employee for the purchase of ergonomic equipment recommended by your DEAs.
Your role: Model good safety leadership. Have your DEA evaluate you first. Attend the Computer User Training, and support the DEA by allocating the time necessary for him or her to help your unit perform better.

2. Select employees to take the DEA training.
3. Have employees enroll for the DEA training at events-manager.ucsc.edu
