Certificate of Insurance (COI) Requirements for Suppliers Summary: Review UCSC's Certificate of Insurance requirements for suppliers of goods and services, as specified in BUS-63. Per university policy, individuals and organizations providing goods and/or services to the university are required to maintain throughout the period of time such suppliers are doing business with the university, and at such suppliers' sole cost and expense, a policy or policies of general liability and other applicable insurance protecting both the supplier and the Regents of the University of California (Regents) from any and all claims, demands, judgments, awards and lawsuits arising out of the sale of any product or the furnishing of any service to the University (UCSC). Service providers not exempted from insurance requirements, and providers of high risk goods will need to provide a Certificate of Insurance as evidence of meeting the applicable insurance requirements. Certificates of Insurance are not required from Public Agencies. All Certificates of Insurance Issued to the University:
